HOW OUR KITS WORK

Our mini pontoon lift boats kits are designed for folks who need the ability to lift things out on the water. Customers use these small pontoon boats to hang water pumps for dredging, dewatering, and flood control, as well as carry out underwater recovery and repair, move mooring anchors, or even hang water testing and underwater surveying equipment. All of our A-frame lift boats are based on our custom aluminum boat frame system, and our 1200 pound lift capacity A-frame gantry system. Our lift frames are made with a highly weight efficient design (only weigh a total of 52 pounds) with aluminum legs and a stainless steel horizontal gantry pipe. Each frame also has two 3/8" thick lift rings. This allows you to both lift with the boat and lift the boat out of the water with a crane. Best of all, all our our boats use our foam filled, HDPE plastic floats that are practically indestructible.

Our boat base frames use our proprietary 6000 series aluminum extrusions and are assembled with simple hardware. The floats themselves bolt to the aluminum main beams, which have two slots for 3/8" square nuts, and the crossmembers are a beefy 2" tall hat channel. With the square nut slots running the full length of the main beams, you can bolt crossmembers anywhere you need them, as well as easily bolt other accessories to the boat if you need to. Our lift boat kits include all the aluminum frame structure components and required assembly hardware, but you do have to drill the holes for mounting the floats themselves due to slight variations inherent with large rotomolded plastic parts.

Why run a bolt-together kit? It means that you can build your boat just as you'd like! Also, you can build it in your back yard or workshop and we can ship it to you for a reasonable cost. If you've ever tried to ship a fully assembled boat, you know that it costs a fortune and can easily be damaged in transit. When we ship out boats, your order will ship as one or two shipments (depends what's be purchased) and we put in the effort to make sure you get the best shipping rate possible. Typically, both the frame and floats ship from us in NH, but in some cases, the floats will ship directly from the plastics factory in IN. Local pick-up from our home base in NH is also an option with prior arrangements. Also, YES, our frame systems come with spare nuts, bolts, and washers. We all know how annoying it is when you buy a kit and lose a couple pieces of hardware. We don't want anyone to be stuck on their project because a couple nuts or bolts escaped during assembly.

Are these whole boats ready to register? No, they are not! When you purchase a kit from us, you are purchasing floats and frame components, not an assembled boat with a Hull Identification Number. If you are powering your freshly built boat and intending to use it on public bodies of water, you will have to register the boat as home-built after completion, and we can guide you through this simple process.
