TinyPontoonBoats.com sells USA made modular plastic pontoons. Our plastic floats have a patented design and are available in 18", 27", and 36" wide versions to fit a wide variety of applications and industries. All of our floats are made with super tough HDPE plastic shells and have a closed-cell urethane foam filling. This combination makes for a super durable float that is also super safe. We've been using these materials for over a decade and it's a proven combination. These floats will take quite the beating without failure, but if you ever manage to puncture one, you're not going in the drink, as the foam itself floats as well. As these floats are made from HDPE plastic, being the same super tough material that truck bed liners, snowmobile skis, and milk jugs are made from, you don't have to worry about dents or corrosion. These floats are especially great if you need a craft to go in salt water or hazardous contaminated environments that many of our industrial customers work with.
Our plastic pontoon floats are used in many industrial, military, and recreational applications, and are used to build work platforms, work barges, USV boats (robotics platforms), house boats, boat docks, and recreational pontoon boats and swim platforms. Our plastic floats are easy to build platforms for as they have nominally spaced mounting channels, and you don't have to worry about pulling out molded-in threaded inserts that other floats have. To make things easy, we also manufacture a full line of easy to assemble frame systems. Our plastic floats are available individually or as sets to show arrangement possibilities. Please check out what we have to offer below. |

7'x4'x5'(ISH) MAMMOTH DOCK FLOATS
(HOUSEBOAT FLOATS, WORK PLATFORM FLOATS, MARINA FLOATS, ETC.) $4300 EACH
Our 7'x4'x5'(ish) Mammoth Dock Floats are HUGE and are designed for floating massive equipment and barges. These floats are designed to withstand the rigors of off-shore life and were literally designed to brush off impacts from other vessels. These monsters take over 6800 pounds to sink, have super sturdy geometry, a 0.45" thick HDPE shell, and are 90% foam-filled, just to make sure you're covered if a true catastrophe strikes. With these floats, the foam is NOT structural and they are available without foam per request. Each float weighs in at 584 pounds and are a great solution for large barges, houseboats, docks, or work platform flotation.
As these floats are so large, they are made to order and only ship directly from the factory in WI. Lead times are typically 3-4 weeks dependent on current workload. We have a 4-piece minimum order requirement for black and orange color floats, and a 10-piece minimum for yellow floats. This is due to the massive amount of work required to mount tooling and to set up for production for these floats. If you need fewer floats, we're happy to get your order in with the next one to reach our minimum, but we cannot guarantee the timing for that scenario. As mentioned, our Mammoth Dock Floats are available in a black, orange, and yellow colors. The cost of shipping IS NOT included in our price. Please contact us for a freight quote if shipping is required. NOTE: Our Mammoth Dock Floats are fully sealed, and due to the high-volume of air within the float, high-temperature climates and high-altitude applications may require that a small hole be drilled and a simple expansion plug be installed at the top of the float to allow the air pressure within the float to equalize with the ambient atmosphere. Remember, these are made in a temperature controlled factory in WI, not the tropics! Please contact us for further details.
*The CAD file provided above and the measurements listed in the table below are based on actual overall measurements of one of our finalized parts when cooled to a temperature of about 65 degrees Farenheight. Rotomolded plastic parts can have variations of as much as +/-3% (can expand over an inch in overall length when HOT), which can be significant on large parts, although our fully documented and closely monitored manufacturing process minimizes variations from one part to another. When designing your frame, please be sure to allow for minor variations. Once the part is bolted into place, this is no longer a concern, although we recommend that these floats are installed with an ambient temperature of about 70 degrees F. Please contact us for further details or see our LARGE BARGE SYSTEMS page to see how we tackle this with our frame systems.
ALL DIMENSIONS ABOVE ARE WITH A FLOAT SHELL TEMPERATURE OF ABOUT 65 DEGREES F.
