Our robotics pontoon boat bases are used on USVs that have been deployed around the world. These small vessels are used on robotic and automated boats that are collecting environmental data, cleaning up waterways, spraying chemicals, and even holding munition training targets.

Our boat kits float on super durable, foam filled HDPE plastic floats that simply can't sink. Every one of our kits use multiple independently sealed, foam filled float sections, so our boats are durable as possible. Frame systems for our 18" and 27" floats consist of two custom 6000 series aluminum extrusions that make for a strong, yet light weight structure. The backbone of the design is our main beam extrusion that has slots for standard 3/8" square nuts. This allows our crossmembers to bolt in place anywhere you need them. Frame systems for our 37" floats use standard aluminum or steel frame components, 1/2" stainless hardware, and are also designed to bolt-together quickly. Our pontoon platform kits include the frame components, hardware, and floats, and the only holes you have to drill are for mounting the floats themselves due to minor possible variations of the molded plastic floats.

Why run a bolt-together kit? It means the boat assembles quickly, design updates are quick, you can easily disassemble your completed boat for storage, and most importantly, we can ship your kit anywhere. When we ship boat kits, orders ship as one or two shipments (depends what's be purchased) and we put in the effort to make sure you get the best shipping rate possible. Typically, both the frame and floats ship from us in NH, but in some cases, the floats will ship directly from the plastics factory in WI. Local pick-up from our home base in NH is also an option with prior arrangements. Also, YES, our frame systems come with spare nuts, bolts, and washers. We all know how annoying it is when you buy a kit and lose a couple pieces of hardware. We don't want anyone to be stuck on their project because a couple nuts or bolts escaped during assembly.

Are these whole boats ready to register? No, they are not! When you purchase a kit from us, you are purchasing floats and frame components, not a whole boat with a Hull Identification Number. Depending on your application, your automated boat may need to be registered if operating on public bodies of water. You will have to check with the municipality that you're intending to work within or from to find out what their requirements are. If your boat requires registration, you will need to register it as a "custom" built or "home built" boat, and you may need to have your local vehicle registry assign a HIN.
