HOW OUR KITS WORK
Our bolt-together pontoon work platforms are a sturdy, easy to transport solution for those who need to work on low bridges, dams, or perform maintenance in lagoons. Our kits all use our rugged HDPE plastic floats, which is the same material that drop-in truck bed liners are made from, so you don't have to worry about dents or corrosion. These floats are especially great if your floating service platform will be working in salt water or a hazardous environment. Our work platform kits float on super durable, foam filled HDPE plastic floats that simply can't sink. Each of our kits use multiple independently sealed float sections, so our platforms are safe as possible. Our frames consist of two custom extrusions that make for a strong, yet light weight structure, and include all the stainless hardware required to put them together. The backbone of the design is our main beam extrusion, which is a 6000 series aluminum component that has two slots that accept standard 3/8" square nuts. This allows our crossmembers to bolt in place anywhere you need them. Our pontoon platform kits include a bolt-together frame system and floats, and the only holes you have to drill are for mounting the floats themselves due to minor possible variations of the molded plastic floats. Why run a bolt-together kit? It means that you can build your platform just as you'd like! Also, you can build it just about anywhere and we can ship it to you for a reasonable cost. Typically, both the frame and floats ship from us in NH, but in some cases, the floats will ship directly from the plastics factory in WI. Local pick-up from our home base in NH is also an option with prior arrangements. Also, YES, our frame systems come with spare nuts, bolts, and washers. We all know how annoying it is to misplace a couple pieces of hardware. We don't want anyone to be stuck on their project because a couple nuts or bolts escaped during assembly. Our kit comes with all the required hardware, is available with or without aluminum decking, and we have super thorough assembly instructions here on our website. These kits are available with black and orange floats. This kit can be narrowed to an 88" overall width to easily fit into a standard shipping container, which has an internal door width of 92".
